Key Responsibilities:
- Design scalable architecture and data models with cross-functional teams
- Build and maintain data pipelines integrating BigQuery with Elasticsearch
- Develop and optimize API services (e.g., Nexa-Screener) for high-performance queries
- Deliver minimal UI components for screening, query building, and backend integration
- Conduct end-to-end testing, performance validation, deployment, and monitoring
- Support ESG data processing, real-time analytics, and robust search solutions
Must-Have Skills:
- 5+ years experience in backend or data engineering roles
- Strong programming skills in Java (Spring Boot preferred)
- Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch for real-time search and analytics
- Experience in designing Elasticsearch indexes and optimizing search/query performance
- Familiarity with relational/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, BigQuery)
- Hands-on experience with GCP or other cloud platforms
- Knowledge of distributed systems and API design
- Experience with CI/CD and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Databricks, PySpark, Python, BigQuery SQL
- GCP Cloud experience
- React.js, AngularJS
