Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build microservices and backend systems using Java (Spring Boot)
  • Work with PostgreSQL/TimescaleDB to design and optimize data storage solutions
  • Develop event-driven systems leveraging Kafka for messaging and real-time processing
  • Collaborate with DevOps to deploy, scale, and manage services on AWS (ECS, EKS, API Gateway, Secrets Manager)
  • Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure reliability and quality
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural discussions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, testing, and production environments

Required Skills:

  • 2-3 years hands-on software development experience with Java
  • Expertise in Spring Boot and microservices architecture
  • Working knowledge of PostgreSQL; TimescaleDB preferred
  • Familiarity with Kafka for distributed messaging
  • Experience or exposure to AWS services (ECS, EKS, API Gateway, Secrets Manager)
  • Understanding of REST APIs and modern API design
  • Strong grasp of OOP principles and design patterns
  • Experience with Git and CI/CD tools
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
  • Experience working in Agile environments
